eSIM Definition:
Unter einer eSIM versteht man eine elektronische SIM-Karte (CHIP), die bereits fest in einem Smartphone verbaut ist.

Wofür wird eine eSIM verwendet?
Als Ersatz für die SIM-Karte
Aufgrund der vielen Vorteile einer eSIM, setzen immer mehr Smartphonehersteller und Mobilfunkanbieter auf die eSIM. Das neue IPHONE kommt in den USA z.B. schon ganz ohne SIM-Karten-Slot auf den Markt.
Im Ausland
Viele Tarife gelten nur innerhalb der EU, sodass z.B. in der Türkei, Ägypten, den USA oder der Schweiz teure Roaminggebühren anfallen. Durch eine eSIM kann man sich trotzdem günstig und sofort Tarife oder Datenvolumen über einen externen Anbieter für seinen Urlaub dazu buchen.
Zusätzliches Datenvolumen
